Dynamic Event Capture.

Mike Nasty tasked us with filming 2 of his famous party series, “No Filter”, and “Jumpin Thumpin”.

There’s no shortage of filmed DJ sets being uploaded everyday — finding a way to cut through an oversaturated medium and lend it new life was our main priority. For us, this meant more immersive, dynamic, and detail-oriented film capture more often associated with high budget productions like music videos and documentaries.

We deployed a 4-camera setup, with 2 of those cameras floating throughout the night; capturing more cinematic, handheld shots to better convey the small moments that make up the essence of Mike Nasty’s parties.

All footage is time-synced to the audio from the DJ mixer in post-production and carefully color-graded clip by clip to ensure consistency and an elevated aesthetic from start to finish.

We refused to compromise on quality, shooting all 5/9 hours of the parties in 4K, 10-bit log; and mixing in room audio for the moments of crowd interaction, as well as providing multiple Youtube thumbnails for clickthrough rate testing.
